Family Isn't Always By Blood

The proof in the saying Family doesn't always mean blood - is in our furry family members. There are bonds made in some family's, and the bonds that we make with our furry kids can be one of the strongest. While others (meaning humans) in our life let us down, don't stand by us, maybe constantly criticize and belittle us, our furry kids take us for who we are. The love in their eyes never has to be questioned, and neither their loyalty. When we fall on our face or from grace, they are there to comfort us with a warm snuggle, and no judgments. And all they ask from us is love, a safe home, and sustenance. And when we must say goodbye, it breaks our hearts, and its sad for them to leave, and we grieve just as we lost a part of our family. For what is the true meaning of family - but loyalty and love. (For Kasha) - Beth Fowler July 4th, 2012
